Peter Andersen

I’ve worked for large corporations with big budgets and small start-ups with big dreams. 

 

In information technology, communications, consumer goods, consulting and real estate.

As project manager, marketing director, strategy and business development director, and vice president. In Europe and North America. 

 

At some point it occurred to me that the most successful companies and projects I had been  involved with, all had one thing in common; a clear understanding of the promise they made to their customers, their claim to fame, combined with the ability to develop and run the systems to consistently live up to that promise. They were not just businesses, they were promise delivery systems.

 

This realization led to the creation of Avalon Consulting, where I get to share my experience and business passion with my co-founder, Bret, and our clients.

 

In terms of my professional conduct, Warren Buffet, the legendary founder of the investment group Berkshire Hathaway, has said that the three most important character traits for his employees are intelligence, energy and integrity.

That is what I strive to bring to the table every day. 

 

I was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark, but decided in my late 20’s to put on a backpack and explore the world. It turned out to be the best decision of my life, as it serendipitously took me from the Himalayas to getting married and settling down in Vancouver, BC.

Bret Schillebeeckx

I have built a successful real estate business over the past 21 years, however it didn’t start out that way.

 

In the beginning I worked hard to master the technical side of being a realtor, but I was not running a business.

I had a 100 hour-a-week job and all of the responsibilities of owning a business.

If I stopped working, everything stopped working. This was not sustainable.

 

I spent the next 5 years building systems and leveraging my time and resources to make sure that I was living up to the business standards, that my clients had come to expect, while living a more balanced life. 

​

Eventually my business was built to the point where I was helping my clients buy and sell real estate, and everything else was made into a system that someone, or something, else was responsible for. I had achieved a balanced life, and my business was still growing. 

 

Looking back on this journey, I’ve realized that what I had built over these 21 years, was a promise delivery system.

I also discovered a passion for helping other business owners create their own promise delivery systems, enabling them to be the conductor of their business and leave the instruments for others to play.

 

Avalon is the brain child of this passion, and Peter and I are very excited to share our knowledge to help you continue building a business you are proud of.
